THE VAULT BECOMES A HOT TOPIC

REOPENED VENUE BROKERS CO-OP SHOWCASES IN MARKETING MOVE

Temecula, CA – As I sit here typing this latest groove from the ‘scene’ of new music and the people who bring it to us, I Am Empire, plays on the mini page behind this word doc. The band has been getting heavy rotation on several Christian radio stations but have an alternative sound closer to Sherwood than Souljourners’ prog metal, though you will find a nice lead guitar lick here and there. The band, which hails from San Jose, is doing a west coast tour starting in northern California and will be the first band to appear locally starting on July 9th through a deal with Ivan Promotions and Hot Topic, a youth/punk clothing store located in the newly renovated Promenade Mall here in T-Town.

Though Hot Topic had done a few onsite music shows before, they have been more sporadic. “With our new arrangement between Ivan Promotions and Hot Topic, the music shows (happening there) will be acoustic and happen on Thursdays. That will give a touring band that is appearing at The Vault that weekend a chance to preview themselves to their local fans and make new ones (prior to The Vault show),” said IP front man Ivan McClain, “and Hot Topic is the perfect hub for it, being in the Mall. The 7/9 Hot Topic IAE show will be the acoustic outing for the band but the show at The Vault will feature them (plugged in). Every week we will have another band there to showcase (acoustically) before they play at The Vault. Meanwhile a whole new website has been developed on MySpace for The Vault to list what is coming up.”
